Heritage Family Farms
Scooby-Doo EATS partners only with heritage family farmers who conserve certain breeds for our future generations and the future of our food system. Heritage breeds are traditional livestock breeds that were raised by our forefathers that DO NOT require the use of added hormones, anti-biotics, or growth stimulants of any kind retaining major survival traits such as foraging ability, longevity, ability to mate naturally, and resistance to diseases and parasites.
Farmer-led sustainability solutions is one of Scooby-Doo EATS core ideologies and strong beliefs in 2021. We partner with family farmers equipped with technology and forward-thinking tools to validate regenerative agriculture practices and quantify climate impacts, helping partners effectively work towards greenhouse gas emission (GHG) goals by 2030. Watch Kiss the Ground, winner of 42 awards – a full-length documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson that sheds light on “regenerative agriculture” – new farming approach.
Socially Responsible. Environmentally Sound
The main mission of Scooby-Doo EATS is sustainability with the goal to reduce post-harvest meat waste . Our family farmers are proud members of the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) – defining sustainable beef as a socially responsible, economically viable and environmentally sound product that prioritizes the Planet, People, Animals and Progress. The CRSB has adopted the same five guiding principles as set by the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef
Traceability & Transparency
Scooby-Doo EATS guarantees transparency where every animal in our partnering family farms is verified and fully traceable back to the farm of origin. Livestock traceability is the ability to follow one animal or a group of animals from one point in the supply chain to another tracing animal ID, Premise ID, and animal movement.
